Client Needs

The Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic has created a Working from Home (WFH) revolution. Digital Transformation, cloud services adoption, multi-media team collaboration and video services have risen sharply between 2020 and 2021. Office working procedures have been disrupted, suspended or radically changed at short notice. PrivacySolved was asked to respond to a wide range of data breaches and cyberattacks. These breaches included email-based data beaches, unauthorised access to databases and personal data loss. Breaches also occurred in postal, delivery and courier services. Several organisations needed to report data breaches to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regulators, notify individuals affected and respond to data breach litigation following data breaches and cyberattacks.

PrivacySolved Services and Solutions

PrivacySolved’s Data Protection, GDPR and Data Breach response services were deployed to respond to a range of personal data breaches. Urgent advice on breach assessment, containment and investigations within 24-48 hours was provided. Assessments about GDPR regulator notifications and reports to individuals affected were provided. Detailed data queries and IT forensic questions were sent to Data Controllers, Data Processors and third parties. Internal investigations were established, lessons learnt reports produced, risk profiles revised and training recommendations provided. Our Data Protection Officers liaised with GDPR regulators, contacted other affected Data Protection Officers and project managed data breach responses. PrivacySolved’s Data Protection Officers also ensured that lawyers and insurers were quickly included in litigation matters and to agree data breach settlements. Our Cybersecurity team worked closely with boards, IT teams, Chief Information Officers and Chief Information Security Officers to analyse breach reports, risk-assess persistent threats and report on covid-19 ransomware breach trends. Cybersecurity strategies and supply chain risks profiles were also re-assessed. PrivacySolved also produced cyberattack pattern reports and ransomware trackers.
